Is how I feel voters think sometimes when I see someone's given my music a 2 or lower & they don't leave a review.

Putting together a black metal track for the metal contest, and I'm fully intending to shred my throat a little on this one. Ideally, it'll be accesible enough not to blammed immediately, but still terrifying; the latter is priority #1.
The next two weeks I've taken off work to focus on writing and recording new demos.
Well, the second week I'll be in Texas. Likely not a lot of progress. Just a lot of drinking and enjoying post-SXSW Austin.
I'm sure my liver has been holding me back creatively, anyway.

I'm excited to see that my songs have jumped 100+ plays over the course of a day; however, I'm surprised by how few votes there are. I like to imagine someone just looping them continually.
Please leave critiques if you have a chance, I very much appreciate all feedback, as I may have high aspirations, but digital music is still quite fresh to me.
As consolation, here's a picture of a Bobcat.

Ideally, before the end of Spring, I will be putting out a tape or 7" "Runners EP".
Just have to find someone to put it out.

I've been considering switch careers, particularly toward a more graphic design direction from the drole social work I have been dragging my feet through for the past year.
I need to make up my mind, & quick.

It's unfortunate truth that I don't like to admit to normally. However, I am, deal with it.

It's strange to watch the evolution of a site, especially a site that has run as long as Newgrounds.com has. I've gone through times of visiting the site daily, voting on numerous new entries to try & raise my overall participation and protection/blam scores and as well as periods of forgetting the internet existed for months at a time (which I won't lie, are usually much better times for me). I suppose, watching Newgrounds grow can be compared to seeing a friend whom you see every few months at a time, realizing that they've changed/grown a great deal, galavant about with them for awhile, move on again, and find one another time.
I suppose life likes these changes as well as keeping a few things static. It is certainly a strange experience going from talking to my friends in 7th or 8th grade about a website that lets you kill celebrities, to now, almost having my B.S. in Psychology and still being amused by these same gags almost 8 years later while my other friends have long since moved on to trying to "mature" and are looking to marry and other such mistakes.
I would think about making this post "front page", but I already feel like many people would assume I am a jerk off who is either a) bragging about how much more seniority he has over everyone else (who, by the way, probably have way more points than I do) or b) kind of over-romanticizing Newgrounds. In the end, it'd be c) I am merely surprised that Newgrounds has rebirthed itself as a completely new site. For God's sake, I am writing a journal here! I would've never thought I'd see the day. I assume it's all pedophiles picking up tweens and sex chats from here.
